- Here is the confession we need to make!
- How a Post-It note on the forehead could be what is required
- An easy way to keep yourself regular – The stick on supplement reminder
Taking a medication or supplement which is going to make us feel better isn’t a problem – is it?
I mean it stands to reason, we have a known issue or risk so we happily pop a capsule with our breakfast to solve it.
Job done… problem controlled.
Or maybe not.
Are you guilty of health non compliance?
I know I am from time to time.
Some days I roll into bed and turn off the light and suddenly think – “I didn’t take my turmeric/magnesium/vitamin D today!”
Maybe the morning was a bit of a rush, or an early morning phone call put me off my stride… or just plain forgetfulness meant my routine was broken.
It’s not like I wanted to forget.
Clearly I know why I need to take my top up regularly – it’s the little and often principle, a tried and tested Good Life Letter mantras.
If you’re being honest I know I am not alone in this.
There may be other reasons why the daily routine isn’t an easy one to face.
For instance many of you find swallowing the capsule or pill difficult, or unpleasant.
As a result I get emails to asking if there are alternative ways to get regular benefits from daily supplements. Whilst breaking the capsules open and sprinkling the contents over food or into a drink is one way to achieve the benefit there are other, easier ways.
The permanent reminder we all need
Imagine having a Post-It note stuck on your forehead saying “Don’t forget to take your supplement.”
It would be pretty difficult to ignore.
Chances are you would ensure that you got your daily boost, and kept your body in the best of form.
But even in lockdown isolation I don’t think wearing a bright yellow sticker on your head is acceptable!
A much better idea would be to have a discrete but obvious patch on your arm, side, leg or other accessible body area.
Far from just being a reminder though this patch would actually BE the supplement.
How easy does that make it?
Every morning you take one patch off and apply another fresh one, confident that during the next 24 hours your system will be gradually absorbing the all important turmeric, glucosamine and vitamins A, C & E… effectively stopping all of the aches and pains throughout your body.
It might seem a bit odd to be sticking a plaster on yourself containing a curry spice but this really is a very effective and proven way to control painful inflammation naturally;
– Eases inflammation
Inflammation is a root cause of many health conditions like metabolic syndrome, heart disease, and even cancer. Inflammation has also been shown to play a role in cognitive decline. Turmeric’s powerful anti-inflammatory properties can have a protective benefit.
– Eases joint pain
Studies have shown promising results in the ability of turmeric and curcumin to manage pain and inflammation associated with arthritis.
– Fights free-radicals
Turmeric has been shown to increase antioxidant capacity and help fight free-radical damage. It can also increase the body’s natural antioxidant capacity, boosting your defence system.
I’ve written many times about turmeric but it is just one of the key ingredients in the Pain Relief Patch.
A complete joint care system in a simple patch
You’ll have read about these natural ingredients many times as a reader of The Good Life Letter, so they’ll be familiar to you.
They work like this:
- Glucosamine plays a vital role in building cartilage. It provides the building blocks to help repair the damaged joint cartilage. It is readily absorbed through the skin and helps the body repair damaged joint surfaces from wear and tear.
- Turmeric is at the basis of natural anti-inflammation medication in Eastern cultures and has been used by healers for thousands of years. Turmeric contains a wide variety of proven anti-inflammatory compounds, the best known of which is curcumin, but there are many others.
- Piperine, an extract of black pepper, which can improve absorption of curcumin by up to 2000%.
- Vitamins A, C and E, known to contribute to regenerative collagen formation and promote the normal function of bones (which includes boosting red blood cell numbers and developing immune system white blood cells).
With the patch on your skin, the above ingredients are slowly absorbed into your bloodstream, where they can help reduce your pain for up to 24 hours.
This means you don’t have to carry creams or tablets around, and perhaps for those of us with a sieve like memory…
…you don’t have to remember to take them.
Instead, just put one of these patches on each morning and then get on with your day – don’t forget by wearing one it is a visual reminder to you to top up your all important supplement.
There is even a clever system where the patch shows when it is ready to be changed.

Help from Good Life Letter readers…
A year ago I was contacted by a reader who had previously used similar (though not as well formulated) patches and was not able to find them again.
She asked if I knew where to get some from.
This set me thinking about how fantastic this idea was – precisely for the reasons I have detailed above.
So I set about finding some.
Eventually I found a really experienced supplier who was more than happy to formulate these patches for us, and I was able to let my reader test them out…
…our initial attempt was very effective, but a bit too sticky!
However we quickly improved the design and I was delighted to get her response as follows;
“I just had to write to thank you so much for the pain patches they are absolutely superb. I am waiting for a knee operation so have a great deal of pain OR DID until I started with the patches. Just one week and the relief is amazing I am even back in my high heels!!!!”
So, why not share in her experience… after all these patches are as much her success as mine!
