Traditionally reserved for the finest tea ceremonies in Japan the classic Matcha green teas are now available for the Western markets, but this is no standard Matcha – be prepared for something much cleaner tasting and satisfying to drink.
This is a blend of luxury grade Japanese green tea, a very special variety grown for longer in the shade which intensifies the chlorophyll in the young leaves called Gyokuro (Jade Dew) and a premium quality Kenyan tea .
This blend boosts the levels of healthy antioxidants to three times that of standard Matchas – and that makes it something really special.
Ideal Brewing Temperature: 70-80oC/158-176oF. For Food Safety reasons bring water to 100oC/21oF and let it cool down to 70-80oC/158-176oF.
HOT BREWING METHOD:
Bring filtered or freshly drawn water to a rolling boil and let cool to roughly 180oF/82oC. Place approximately half a teaspoon of Matcha in your cup. Infuse with 8oz/250ml of water, whisk briskly and enjoy.
