Description

Developing varicose veins can be unsightly but this problem can also lead to pain, itchy skin and sometimes more serious health issues.

Commonly a problem in women, but also increasingly in men, the causes of weaknesses in blood vessel walls that underlie varicosities is a complex topic but invariably involves increased risk due to genetics, age and lifestyle – but developing varicose veins is not inevitable.

Used widely in Germany and on continental Europe an natural extract from the Horse Chestnut seed (conkers to me and you!) called aescine (in conjunction with Butchers Broom and Witch Hazel isolates) has yielded major health benefits.

Daily usage can help prevent varicose veins forming as well as reduce the effects of those that may already exist leading to a reduction in swelling, pain and skin damage.

Key highlights:

  • Formulated with horse chestnut and butcher’s broom exracts contributing to the maintenance of normal venous circulation through their phyto-active nutrients: Aescin and Ruscogenin.
  • These two saponins, help to ensure the maintenance of normal vessels walls, in synergy with witch hazel.
  • Offering circulatory improvements generally which can help in other health conditions such as poor skin, headaches and fatigue.

60 capsules per pack.

Developed by the Holistica laboratories of France.

The Holistica team has consistently developed products which recognise that health is a state of complete physical wellbeing, mental, social and spiritual, and that it is not just the absence of disease, but which respects the laws and the balance of nature.

Founded in 1986 by Ghislaine Gerber, the Holistica laboratories have continued to develop quality products which are exclusively herbal and natural in specific formulations that meet this global approach to research.

Key Ingredients;

Horse chestnut seed extract: This tree of the Hippocastanaceae family, can live more than three hundred years and reach a size of 35 m. Wiidely used in Europe, this seed has long been used in the French tradition to maintain normal venous circulation thanks to its saponins: Aescin. Several scientific studies showed its role on venous circulation. This concentrated Horse chestnut extract, providing 80 mg escin per daily dose, demonstrates impressive effect to maintain normal veins walls.

Butcher’s-broom root extract: The butcher’s-broom belongs to the Asparagaceae family. This evergreen shrub, native of the Mediterranean maquis, has colonized a vast area from Azores to Iran. The rhizome has been long used to maintain the normal venous circulation. Indeed several publications showed the presence of saponins, especially the ruscogenin in rhizome, that has been studied for its beneficial effect on blood vessels.

Witch hazel: This flowering shrub is native from North America, belonging to Hamamelidaceae family. This plant leaves were used by the Amerindians and by Western settlers as well. High in tannins and volatile oils, Witch Hazel leaf totum perfectly completes VEINO’GUARD Phytonutrients. ESCOP (European Scientific Cooperative of Phytotherapy) and WHO recognize witch hazel leaf to contribute to the maintenance of a normal venous circulation.
